No thank you
  • Packaging of any kind
  • Liquids such as milk. You may pour small amounts of liquid food or drinks down the sink, ideally alongside a small amount of water to ensure the waste runs away easily, without causing blockages
  • Liquid oils or fats. Please take these items to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre in a suitable container
  • Any material that’s not food waste

If you need to get rid of any fats that are solid or only part-liquid, please put these in your black bags.

Please remember:

  • when you’re about to run out of food waste liners for your kitchen caddy, just tie one around your outdoor caddy handle on your collection day, and our crews will place a new roll of bags alongside it. You can also collect caddy liners from your local library

Don’t forget to place any waste fruit from fruit trees in your food waste containers for collection where possible.

If there is too much to fit in your food waste caddy, you can fill 2 garden waste bags and place them out on your black bag collection day. If you have more than 2 bags, please place these out with your green waste for collection.

Please clearly label the bag as 'windfall fruit'.

Please do not overfill your bags as they will become too heavy for the crews to lift.
