Non-Domestic Rates (NDR) Linked Support for Businesses - Now closed

 

NDR Emergency Fund 2022 - This scheme will close for applications at 5pm on 14 February 2022.

Eligible Businesses

Welsh Government have announced a Non-Domestic Rate linked grant to help eligible businesses for the period 13 December 2021 – 14 February 2022 falling within the following sectors:

  • Hospitality

  • Retail

  • Tourism (please note there are specific exclusions to certain self-catering accommodations, please see guidance below)

  • Leisure

  • Supply chain businesses for the above four sectors that have experienced a greater than 40% reduction in turnover as a direct result of the restrictions in the period between 13 December 2021 – 14 February 2022 when compared to the same period in 2019/2020, or if a new business after that date in September / November 2021

 

The grant amount depends on which criteria your business meets and will either be £2000, £4000 or £6000. Please ensure you fully read the Grant Guidance document below before submitting an application to see if you are eligible.

 

For all businesses, their hereditament must have been on the NDR rating list as of the 1 September 2021 and the ratepayer needs to have been in occupation of the property as of the 30 November 2021.

 

Before you apply

All eligible businesses must submit an application before 5pm on 14 February 2022 to be considered.

 

The Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Rate Relief scheme guidance 21-22 will be used to establish whether a business falls within an eligible sector.

Take your time when completing the application, failure to provide all relevant information may result in your application being rejected.

Please note: if a grant payment is made and evidence subsequently emerges to show that you are not eligible for that grant payment, we may require repayment of the grant in full or part. If it is determined that the payment was made as a result of an act of fraud, legal action may be taken against you.

We will undertake any appropriate business checks considered necessary to assess the application.
