Penarth/Cardiff Barrage Sustainable Transport Corridor Study
The Council commissioned consultant’s Capita to undertake a WelTAG (Welsh Transport Planning and Appraisal Guidance) Stage One and Two study to develop and appraise potential options for improving sustainable transport within and between Penarth and Cardiff barrage, (not progressed further than WelTAG Stage 2 - March 2020).

M4 Junction 34 to Cardiff Airport Transport Network Scheme
The Council commissioned consultants Arcadis to undertake a WelTAG Stage One, Two and Two Plus study to develop and appraise potential options for improving transport links between Junction 34 of the M4 and the A48 which included a new parkway rail station at Junction 34. (not progressed further than WelTAG Stage 2 Plus - March 2021).

Dinas Powys Transport Network Study
The Council commissioned consultants Arcadis to undertake a WelTAG (Welsh Transport Planning and Appraisal Guidance) Stage One, Two and Two Plus study to develop and appraise potential options for improving the transport network through Dinas Powys (not progressed further than WelTAG Stage 2 Plus – March 2021).
