The Welsh Government is investing in the business infrastructure at Cardiff Airport-St Athan Enterprise Zone which is prioritised for next generation broadband, has a skilled local workforce, and excellent land and air transportation links, making it the perfect place for business investment and growth.

 

The Enterprise Zone caters to the aerospace, defence, automotive, manufacturing, and engineering sectors, and its long history in these sectors has provided the facilities, skills, experience and local supply chain to make the Cardiff Airport-St Athan Enterprise Zone a truly leading location for business.

 

The Enterprise Zone has well-established links with Welsh universities and world-class aerospace training providers operating next to the airport at the International Centre for Aerospace Training (ICAT). 

 

Cardiff Airport-St Athan Enterprise Zone is currently home to numerous businesses, including the Cardiff International Airport, British Airways Maintenance Cardiff (BAMC), E-Cube Solutions, and Cardiff Aviation and is the future home to Aston Martin’s manufacturing/research and development facility, due to start operation in 2020. The Enterprise Zone consists of three distinct areas:

190 acres of land allocated for mixed use development located adjacent to Cardiff Airport.

Over 500 acres of land surrounding the 2,392 metre runway at Cardiff Airport.
