Vale of Glamorgan
For the past two decades, LGBT+ History Month has been a time of reflection on the significance of recognising and celebrating the LGBT+ community.
The theme for this year is Activism and Social Change – as throughout history LGBT+ people have been activists, and helped shape and create social change whilst advancing society for everyone.
Cllr Ruba Sivagnanam, Cabinet Member for Community Engagement, Equalities and Regulatory Services, said: “The Vale of Glamorgan Council’s participation in LGBT+ History Month is paramount in affirming our commitment to understanding, respecting, and celebrating diversity. “This month serves as an opportunity to shed light on the historical struggles, achievements, and contributions of the LGBT+ community.”
