Dinas Powys Community Council are keen to make improvements with the assistance of Friends of Seel Park Group.
The Park will have a deed of dedication placed upon it from Fields in trust and will therefore be available to enjoy for future generations.
The proposed transfer of Seel Park to Dinas Powys Community Council demonstrates the Council’s commitment to partnership working and provides a clear example of collaborative working where it is acknowledged that a piece of public open space can be looked after more effectively by a local organisation.
Cabinet member for sports, health and wellbeing, Cllr Gwyn John said: “Partnership working lies at the heart of our Council's commitment to progress and prosperity. “Through collaborative efforts, we aim to build resilient communities, drive sustainable development, and create a lasting positive impact for all. “We are confident in Dinas Powys Community Council and Friends of Seel Park’s commitment to improving the arear for the benefit of the wider community.”

Friends of Seel Park Group have been instrumental in seeking improvements to the park. The group will continue to work with Dinas Powys Community Council once the transfer is complete with aims of improving these areas to support nature conservation and enable people to further enjoy the open space.
The area for transfer includes a wooded area and play area.
