New courses launch in Adult Community Learning in the Vale

The Vale Learning Centre are currently enrolling learners on our Essential Skills programme (English and maths) from beginners to Level 2. Courses run over the academic year (36 weeks) and term time only. Learners can enrol at any point.

The community learning team are delighted to announce that there will also be two brand new Fast Track Essential Skills Wales courses for Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE grade A-C): Essential Skills Wales Communication (English) and Essential Skills Wales Application of Number (maths). Fast track courses are run over 20 weeks.

 

ESOL courses (English for Speakers of Other Languages) start this week and are perfect for anyone wanting to improve their reading, writing, and speaking skills for work and life.

 

The Vale Learning Centre is a franchise of Cardiff and Vale College and an approved Agored Cymru and registered exam centre for City and Guilds Essential Skills Wales as well as Trinity College London ESOL Skills for Life.

 

On the Get Back on Track programme there are lots of Digital Courses starting in the coming weeks on a range of topics and levels. These will include Digital Essentials; Online Safety; Internet and Email; Using Digital Tools and Apps as well as ICDL at Level 1, 2 and 3.

 

There are a range of Employability courses running designed to help job seekers with a range of skills including First Aid and Customer Service.

 

In addition to this there are also courses available in British Sign Language, Confidence and Wellbeing and Hair and Beauty.
