Vale of Glamorgan
Exact start dates are yet to be confirmed but the works are provisionally looking to start in August 2023 with a 6-week contract period.
The value of the redevelopment project is estimated to cost £100,000.00. These are capitol funds which include technical fees and is part of a widespread programme to upgrade play facilities across the Vale.
The site was identified by Penarth Youth Action Group as one they would like to see enhanced following a consultation the group undertook and provided to the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
Cllr Mark Wilson, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhood and Building Services said: “The MUGA Recreation Ground in Penarth is an important facility for the local community, providing a safe and engaging space in which to exercise. The Vale of Glamorgan Council are happy that the work is expected to start shortly and are looking forward to seeing the improved site once completed.”
