The partnership between the arts departments at the Vale of Glamorgan Council and Cardiff and Vale College has been ongoing for the past sixteen years and provides a unique opportunity for students and artists to showcase their work in a professional setting.
Sharon James the Principal of Cardiff and Vale College congratulated the students on their fantastic show and said how lucky residents were to have the gallery in Barry Town.
Art Central Friends Chair Dennis Clarke and Board Member Dr Jane Salisbury presented the annual Friends prize to two of the students.
Selected for their hard work and dedication to the course, students Elina Sarkisian and Kacey Bosely were awarded with a certificate and cash prize by the organisation.
Cllr Rhiannon Birch said: “The gallery is run by the Vale of Glamorgan Council and is a fantastic place to showcase work. “The facility provides students with a rare opportunity to engage with the wider public and we would encourage everyone to engage with art where possible. We would like to wish the students every success with the exhibition and their future professional endeavours."
