Vale of Glamorgan
From 11 March, the Pavilion will be host to a series of events, from concerts to lectures on art history, with prices starting at just over £7.The Council took over operation of the building last year and set about making a range of improvements to strengthen its role as a community asset.In addition to these events, the Pavilion continues to host regular film screenings by Snowcat Cinema; The next film screening is Parallel Mothers on 10 March 2022.The Council-operated Big Fresh Café at the Pavilion provides fantastic locally-sourced food and drink, which can be enjoyed by the sea with picturesque views across the Bristol Channel.All profits generated by the Big Fresh Catering Company are invested back into Vale schools to enhance the meals service and support other initiatives.
Kathryn McCaffer, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Arts and Culture said: “I’m pleased to see Penarth Pier Pavilion operating once again. It is a much-loved building, very much at the heart of the town. “The Vale of Glamorgan Council is committed to help ensure that the pavilion remains used by the local community. “The Pavilion hosts classes ran by Vale Courses across a broad range of subjects from photography to language classes. In addition to this there is the after-school Winter of Wellness workshops in voice & performance."The Pavilion is great space for exhibitions and concerts and has a board room for hire for local businesses.”
