November and December Update from the Mayor

She felt privileged to mark

 

Armistice day, remembering those who have given their lives in service to the country and also to attend the Royal gun salute where the Council reaffirmed its commitment to the Armed forces by re-signing the armed forces covenant.

 

The Mayor has enjoyed attending a number of Carol services through December, including those for the RNLI, St John’s and the emergency services. She was also delighted to attend the anniversary of Barry Round Table’s Santa Sleigh, celebrating 50 years of bringing the joy and excitement of Christmas to children in the town as well as raising much needed funding for local charities and groups.

 

The Mayor would like to thank all the children who entered her Christmas card competition and to congratulate the winner: Lily Barnhouse; Year 5- Ysgol Gwaun y Nant
