Barry Camera Club on Show at Council's Art Central Gallery
The Vale of Glamorgan Council’s art gallery is hosting Barry Camera Club’s 2022 Photographic Exhibition.
The exhibition will launch at Art Central Gallery with an opening on Saturday 20 August, 11am to 1pm where all are welcome, with refreshments supported by Art Central Friends.
Members of Barry Camera Club are all keen photographers and will be showing a variety of the best of their work.
The photographic images produced, are thematically chosen by the photographers and include local interests, digital, and traditional film shot and composite fantasy images.
In addition to the photographs on display, the club has partnered with Baruc Art group who have interpreted some of the members photographs, as paintings, using different mediums.
Barry Camera Club’s annual programme provides opportunities to learn new skills and photographic techniques from the members.
Originally formed as part of Barry YMCA, the club is one of the oldest Camera clubs in Wales. The group will also have on show, an informative presentation about the history of the camera club.

“Today we use cameras in our everyday lives constantly recording and promoting our experiences. This exhibition can help to inspire and educate our future generations encouraging them to use photography either as an interesting hobby, an educational tool or develop a career opportunity.
