Vale of Glamorgan Council to Host Armistice Service

The annual Armistice Day wreath laying ceremony, to be held on the Civic Office forecourt in Barry, will be live-streamed via the Council’s social media channels.

A short service, followed by a two-minute silence will be attended by the Mayor, Managing Director, Councillors and representatives of the Armed Forces and Royal British Legion.

The ceremony will begin at 10:45 and is open to members of the public. Welsh government social distancing guidelines will be adhered to throughout.

The start and end of the silence will be marked by the playing of the Last Post and Reveille, with the service ending with the national anthems.
