Vale of Glamorgan
The meeting will take place via Microsoft Teams and will give participants the opportunity to hear how to engage with the Council’s buyers and access their supply chain.
There will be information on eligibility criteria and opportunities for businesses, as well as a snapshot of the Council’s pipeline contracts for the next year.
Sell2Wales will also demonstrate how to find local opportunities for local SMEs. Business Wales will be on hand to explain how to access their fully funded business support.
The Council wants to use future procurement opportunities to deliver social and economic benefits, as well as delivering services.
The investment is set to benefit both local businesses and the community, by opening local procurement opportunities to a wider participation of small firms. More of the Council’s spend will be kept within the local economy, as well as supporting local growth and jobs.
Councillor Lis Burnett, Cabinet Member for Education and Regeneration said: “This has been a challenging year for many businesses, and so, more than ever, the Council wants to ensure that businesses in the Vale will benefit from its spending. We hope that many firms will join us for the event and start tendering for the contracts available.”
