Vale of Glamorgan
Closures will be in place on these roads between 8am to 5pm starting on Monday, 22 February to Thursday, 26 February, 2021.
Local signed diversions will be in place to direct traffic. The road will be reopened each night to minimise any inconvenience caused. Access will be maintained for property owners, emergency services and pedestrians at all times.
Letters will be issued to all property owners affected along the Penarth Esplanade, as well as Advanced Notice signs which will be erected on site at the Esplanade to inform visitors.
Cabinet Member for Neighborhood Services and Transport, Cllr Peter King, said: “We’re pleased to say that works on the parking scheme are well and truly underway. Penarth and the Esplanade have always been popular destinations for both locals and tourists. “Once Coronavirus restrictions are relaxed and people are allowed to travel, the new parking scheme will provide additional parking capacity and turnover to help accommodate the increasing number of visitors to the area. “I’m sure this will be a welcomed enhancement for businesses and the local economy, allowing the site to flourish.”
