Vale of Glamorgan
The development will see the construction of one, two, three and four-bed properties on land that has been acquired by the Vale of Glamorgan Council from Welsh Government.
This announcement follows further Council housing developments at Llys Llechwedd Jenner, Hayes Road and Clos Holm View in Barry.
It is part of major Council plans to invest in affordable housing to meet growing demand for these types of properties, particularly in Barry.
The Council has also recently completed a project to deliver 11 lodges offering temporary accommodation for the homeless at Court Road in the town.
“The need for Council housing is increasing so it’s vital we provide for that by delivering top quality properties,” said Cllr Margaret Wilkinson, Vale of Glamorgan Council Cabinet Member for Housing and Building Services. “These homes and being constructed to the highest specification and will provide comfortable modern places for families, couples and single people to live. “This is the latest in a serious of developments designed to boost our social housing stock and cater for the needs of our residents.”
