Vale of Glamorgan
Jehu Group have constructed 28 new purpose-built homes at Llys Llechwedd Jenner, formally known as Brecon court. The properties have been finished to an extremely high standard and will soon be available to social housing tenants, providing homes for those in the community that need them most.
Built on a former sheltered accommodation site and part-funded by Welsh Government, the scheme consists of nine two-bedroom houses, four three-bedroom family houses and 15 one-bedroomapartments reserved for older people. This is the first in a series of projects that will provide regeneration and much-needed housing in areas across the Vale of Glamorgan.
Cllr Margaret Wilkinson, Vale of Glamorgan Council Cabinet Member for Housing and Building Services, said: “In partnership with Jehu, we have been able to deliver a range of Council homes built to top quality specification. “This development is part of extensive Council plans to increase its housing stock and satisfy much-needed local demand for accommodation of this type. “The variety of different properties that have been constructed will provide comfortable places to live for families, couples and older residents. “The development has also seen a previously disused site revived to provide an important function within the area.”
