Vale of Glamorgan
The fund was established to support feasibility work, improve the resilience of groups and assist capital projects.
Since it was launched in August 2017, £781,722 has been allocated to 56 initiatives across the County with an overall value in excess of £2.74 million.
A new funding allocation of £837,533 for the five-year period from April 2020 to March 2025 has been agreed by the Council’s Cabinet and the first projects to be awarded a share of that pot revealed.
Cllr Lis Burnett, Vale of Glamorgan Council Cabinet Member for Education and Regeneration, said: “We have joined forces with the Waterloo Foundation, Natural Resources Wales, Glamorgan Voluntary Service and representatives of the Town and Community Councils to support schemes that can have a real impact in their local areas. “In this latest round of funding, seven worthwhile projects have been successful and I know the money received will make a major difference."
