Vale of Glamorgan
Anyone who has coronavirus symptoms must book a test and self-isolate in their home until they receive the result.
If that result is positive, they must self-isolate for 10 days from the start of symptoms or from the test date.
Other members of the household must self-isolate for 14 days from the date of a positive test result.
Those who have tested positive for Covid-19 or been formally told to self-isolate by the NHS Wales Test, Trace and Protect service on or after October 23 can apply for a payment in certain circumstances.
Payments will be taxed but are exempt from National Insurance contributions and should not affect any other benefits.
Cllr Neil Moore, Leader of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, said: “The scheme to administer self-isolation support payments in the Vale of Glamorgan is up and running. For more information visit the Coronavirus Updates section of the website. “This is the latest strand of financial support the Council has made available to vulnerable residents since the start of the pandemic. “In partnership with Age Connects and Glamorgan Voluntary Services, the Council’s Vale Heroes Team has also offered assistance with food deliveries and medication collection, as well as emotional support to help those self-isolating cope with loneliness and other wellbeing issues.”
