Vale of Glamorgan
The first Career Changers event was held in June 2019 at the Civic Offices in Barry.
From this event and the ongoing CITB programme support, ISG who are currently working on the expansion of Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg, and Morgan Sindall, who are building Whitmore High School, have taken on groundworks apprentices.
Both ISG and Morgan Sindall are providing their apprentices with the necessary training to become experienced telehandler drivers and traffic marshals.
"ISG have given me many opportunities through the Career Changers programme to try new things in the industry and have helped build my confidence not only on site but in day to day life. I am currently gaining experience in the use of a telehandler with the ambition to be a fully qualified driver by the end of the project." - Lisa Snape, Career Changers participant.
