This morning students across the County travelled to schools or were sent their outcomes via email.

They were decided on teacher’s predicted grades following an announcement by Welsh Government earlier this week.

Cllr Lis Burnet, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Education and Regeneration, hailed pupils for their achievements following a difficult recent period.

“I’d like to recognise the achievements of GCSE pupils across the Vale who collected their results today,” she said.

“The last few months have been a testing period for everyone, but it has been particularly hard on pupils waiting to discover their grades.

“I’m pleased teacher predicted grades were used to determine pupil outcomes as that was the fairest method available and I’d like to wish everyone who collected their results today every success on the next step of their journey."
