The exhibition featured works from A-Level, Foundation and Degree level students from CAVC. It showcased a variety of media including ceramics, textiles, graphic design and painting.

Cabinet Member for Social Care and Health, Cllr Ben Gray attended the opening, welcoming visitors. He said: “The Council is proud to be a strong supporter of the arts, and the College’s Art Department plays a huge role in cultivating the creative skills of Vale residents.

“All pupils should be very proud of their achievements and we are delighted to be able to host the students’ End of Year Exhibition for yet another year.”

As part of the college’s exhibition, students developed a project in support of the Poppy Appeal charity, selling artwork to raise money for the cause. At the opening, a cheque for £350 was presented to the Royal British Legion.

A presentation was also made to CAVC student Elena Louge, who won the WJEC Foundation Diploma, Student of the Year prize.
