Vale of Glamorgan
The exhibition features hand painted folding books and stunning wall-hung artworks created by artists from across the world. First held at the National Library of Wales, the exhibition has grown so large that it tours continuously worldwide.
It will return to Barry on Saturday April 13, and will be open to the public free of charge until May 11. Members of the public are welcome to attend the Opening Event on Saturday April 13, which will run between 2pm and 4pm.
As part of the exhibition, there will also be a Folding Books Walk and Drawing Workshop on May 4 between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. The event will be run by Mary Husted, who started the exhibition back in 2010. Local artist, Sue Hunt will also be leading the workshop.
The workshop will include a walk around King Square to Dock View Road, Barry, making notes; written or visual, taking rubbings on paper and returning to the Gallery to create work in the books.
There will be a small cost of £15 per person for the workshop, this includes a small folding book.
Bookings can be made via Eventbrite at www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
