Step by step guidance on how to donate to Santa’s Cause online

• Follow the link to the Santa’s Cause donation page in the Vale of Glamorgan Council e-shop

• If you enter via the Vale Courses section of our website then you’ll need to select Santa’s Cause donations from the menu on the left hand side of the page

• Click the ‘add to cart’ button. A new pop-up window should appear. Click the green ‘checkout’ button. This will take you to the e-shop account login page

• If you haven’t already got an e-shop account you’ll need to create one. This only takes two minutes. Unfortunately we can’t take donations without an account

• Either sign into your existing account or click the ‘register for an account’ button. If you’re on a mobile you may have to scroll down to see this

• If you’re creating a new account then you’ll be taken to a new page. Enter your email address, set a password for your account, and provide your name. Now click ‘create account’

• A new window will open for you to provide your address. Once you’ve done this click ‘save’ and you’ll be redirected to the payment page

• It is at this point that you can choose how much you would like to donate

• Add the amount you would like to donate to Santa’s Cause to the ‘would you like to make a donation?’ box and then click ‘add’. You’ll see this amount now appear under ‘selected options’. If you are happy with the amount shown click ‘save & continue

• On the next page select ‘use new credit card’ and then click ‘save & continue’. On the next page check your personal details and total amount pledged. If you are happy then click ‘process order’

• Enter your card details on the Online Payment page and once all fields are completed click ‘continue’. Check the ‘cardholder information’ on the next page is correct, update it if not, and when you are happy click ‘continue’

• On the final page you’ll see the total you have chosen to donate and some of the cardholder information displayed again. If you are happy then click ‘make payment’

• Your card issuer may require you to take additional steps to authorise online payments
