Independent Assessors

The Vale of Glamorgan are looking for suitably qualified social workers to undertake assessments on behalf of the authority.

 

You will need to have experience in completing high quality, evidenced based, analytical assessments. These could include, Corambaaf Form F, Connected persons, Viability and or Parenting assessments. You will be required if requested, to attend and present your competed assessment to a fostering panel and or Court.

 

To support you, we will provide:

  • Competitive fees.

  • All relevant documentation and forms.

  • Consultation throughout the assessment with children’s social workers and managers as appropriate.

  • Quality assurance of the assessments to provide constructive feedback and support.

 

 

Job Description

  • Complete assessment/s on behalf of the Local Authority such as, Corambaaf Form F, Connected persons, Viability or Parenting assessments.

 

Person Specification - Experience and Qualifications

  • Evidence of at least 3 years social work experience

  • Experience in completing high quality evidenced based analytical assessments.

  • Evidence of BA social work or equivalent (CQSW, DipSW)

  • Public Indemnity & Public Liability insurance.

  • Social Care Wales Registration

  • 2 Professional References.

  • Completion of an enhanced DBS.

  • An up to date CV.

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance.

  • Excellent listening and communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • The ability to work independently and co-operatively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • To be punctual and reliable.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare of children and young people.
