Postal Voting - UK Parliamentary and Police and Crime Commissioner Elections or 'Reserved' Elections

 

You will now need to renew your postal vote for these elections every 3 years. 

 

We will be writing to electors who are required to reapply,

between March 2025 – January 2026.

 

It is very important that you renew your postal vote, if you wish to continue to vote by post at UK Parliamentary and Police and Crime Commissioner Elections.

If the signature we have on file for you is 3 years old or more then we will send you a Postal Vote Renewal letter.   

 

  • What is included on your Postal Vote Renewal letter?

    The form will tell you which types of election you are currently entitled to vote at. 

     

    It will advise you to visit Gov.uk to complete at fresh application.

     

    There will also be a paper application included which you can use if you are unable to go online.

     

    As part of the application, you will need to provide your signature, date of birth and national insurance number or other identity documents, for example a passport. 

     

  • What if you can't sign your signature any more or you are unable to read or write?

    You will need to request a waiver form from us.

     

     

     

     

    You will need to complete and return this to us and we will send you an application form. 

     

    Alternatively, you can give us a call at your local Electoral Registration Office.

    If a waiver is granted, this will be for the signature only and you will still need to give us your date of birth.
