The Vale Youth Service identifies volunteers as a valuable resource to enhance our youth offer across the Vale of Glamorgan. We consider the definition of volunteering to be:
‘Volunteering is a voluntary act of an individual or group freely giving time and labour for the community.’
Volunteering in the Vale Youth Service can be undertaken by anyone, including but not limited to:
Under 18s – through student placements (Youth Work level 2 only), participation projects, Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, Welsh Baccalaureate
Over 18s – through student placements (Youth Work level 3 to higher education) or from members of the community
Please see below a copy of the Vale Youth Service’s Volunteer Application Flowchart. This document outlines the process involved to start volunteering with the Service.
All prospective volunteers must complete an application form. Please complete the form that is relevant to your age: Under 18s or Over 18s and send to valeyouthservice@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
