Main Office location: Civic Offices, Holton Road, Barry, CF63 4RU

What we do

NEETs Prevention:

STRIVE aims to work with young people aged 11-16 identified under the

Youth Engagement and Progression Framework as ‘at risk’ and support them to  engage with positive activities. There will be four strands of support, engagement and interventions available, these being;

  • One to one or group support within education provisions
  • Community engagement

  • Outdoors offer
  • Progression and positivity

Homelessness Prevention:

Working with young people aged 11-25 who are at risk of homelessness or in a position where homelessness may be imminent. Supporting young people on a one to one basis, along with reaching out and supporting the wider family and/or support network for the individual. This could be within an education-based setting or within their local community. Engaging in positive activities to build on confidence, self-worth, personal safety, understanding relationships and positive thinking to name a few areas for development with a young person.

Post 16 pathways:

To provide guidance on further training or education young people can access post-16, developing positive relationships whereby a young person can be supported into further education, employment or training to build resilience to sustain progression and continue independently on a positive pathway.
