Situated in the centre of a large well established residential area on the outskirts of Cadoxton, Tŷ Dyfan is a purpose built double story residential home for older people. The building is fronted by a lush lawned area with an orchard style scattering of mature trees.

 

Tŷ Dyfan prides itself on providing value-based, person centred and outcome focused services for its residents based on assessed need and preferences. 

Facilities

Tŷ Dyfan has 27 bedrooms available for single occupation across three units; The Bay, The Island and The Knap. 

 

The home may provide accomodation, care and support to:

  • Frail older persons over the age of 60

  • Older persons over the age of 60 who live with a Dementia

  • Older persons over the age of 60 who have a learning disability

  • Older persons over the age of 60 who live with ill mental health 

 

 

Support and Services

The service provides support with:

  • Administration of prescribed medication

  • Personal care

  • Maintaining personal interests and develop new ones

  • Accessing leisure and recreational activities and community based facilities

  • Developing and maintaining relationships

  • Maintaining and maximising independence

 

Additional Services

Tŷ Dyfan does not provide Nursing Care, but residents have access to:

  • Community health services such as G.P.

  • Occupational and Physiotherapists

  • Dentist

  • Optician

  • Chiropodist

  • District Nurse

  • Community Psychiatric and Dementia Support Services
