Educational Visits 

Schools, colleges, nursery and adult groups have the opportunity to take part in various self-led activities where booking is essential, including a Self-Guided Farm Tour and the magical Gnome and Fairy Trail. 

 

Leaders packs available for Farm Tour and activity sheets and pencils for every participating child for both activities.

 

  • Farm Tour

    Our fantastic Farm Tour is a great self-led learning activity for children, that will take your group around the farm learning about our animals and the local wildlife.

     
  • Fairy and Gnome Trail

     

    Our Fairy and Gnome trail is open all year round and is a fun activity for younger children.  There are 25 Fairy and Gnomes hiding along our woodland trail which ends at our wildlife pond.

 

Interesting times of the year

  • Birdwatching - Jan/Feb/March.

  • Lambs - March/April/May

  • Frogs Spawn/Frogs – Oct/Nov

  • Animal activities – School holidays & weekends 

  • On the Farm today – Watch the animal staff with daily animal routines –   Weekends.

 

  • BBQ and Bunkhouse hire: There is a BBQ for hire as well as the option of you and your group staying over in our 23 bed bunkhouse.

  • Cafe: Open most days from 9.00am - 4.00pm (weather dependent) and serves hot and cold food, drinks, cakes, ice lollies and ice cream. Please let us know in advance if your group wishes to purchase food so that orders can be prepared to avoid delays. 

  • Picnic Shelter and Bag Storage: The picnic shelter and safe bag storage are available for your group to use (please see charges below).
  • Parking: Parking is available for coaches and minibuses upon request.

  • Toilets: Toilets including those with disabled access and baby changing facilities are available on site.

All groups must be booked in advance.

 

Nursery, School or College - Trips £60 for exclusive use of the picnic shelter, safe storage space, parking and leader’s pack with children’s activity sheets and use of pencils; plus £2 per child – staff and parents/guardians free.

Booking in advance is essential for health and safety reasons. 

 

Adult Groups - For Adult Learner Groups visiting with no activity or added facilities, is £2 per Adult.
