Phase 2 - Estate Champions and Community Budgeting
The second stage will involve consulting with residents and gaining feedback on Phase 1 and what they would like to see in their area whilst introducing the idea of participatory budgeting.

It will be a community event, all residents will be invited

A series of questions will be asked about the local area and what changes residents would like to see

The local Neighbourhood plans and recent neighbourhood promises, and pledges will be showcased, and residents will be updated on their progress

There will be a drive to recruit a number of local Estate Champions who will work with officers to take the work forward in the local area
Estate Champions
The Estate Champions will:

work with the Housing Managers, Housing Assistants the Community Investment Officers and any Tenants and Resident groups to help implement the changes the community have asked for

ensure that the participatory budget allocated for the local area is spent as local residents have requested

work with the managers and officers and any Tenants and Residents groups to feedback to the local community on developments and updates in the local area

The Estate Champions will work to ensure that the participatory budget allocated for the local area is spent as local residents have requested. The Estate Champions will work with the managers and officers and any Tenants and Residents groups to feedback to the local community on developments and updates in the local area.
At the consultation the sum of money available to the local area to help it become better Connected, Cleaner, Greener& Healthier will be unveiled. The amount could be anything up to 10k per area depending on the needs for the area.
