Our Project Zero response to the Climate Change Emergency

It brings together the wide range of work and opportunities available to tackle climate change, reduce the Council’s carbon emissions to net zero by 2030 and encourage others to make positive changes.

We have already made changes across the organisation and started projects to reduce our carbon emissions. We believe in the power of combined individual efforts to bring about widescale societal change.

We wish to offer our staff options to enable them make greener travel choices, reduce personal carbon emissions and clean up our planet.

Exciting News for Vale of Glamorgan Council Employees: Enjoy Special Discounts at Pughs Garden Centre

Following a review of rewards we have been looking to enhance our sustainable offering and we are delighted to partner with Pughs Garden Centre to offer an exclusive discount package to all Vale staff, focusing on sustainable gardening practices.

This special offer spans three months and features discounts on different sustainable gardening offerings each month.

During the first month, from May 24th to June 24th, Vale staff can enjoy an exclusive 10% discount on all Water Butts—an essential addition to any eco-friendly garden.

These fantastic discounts are available at both Pughs Garden Centres located in Wenvoe and Cardiff, making it convenient for all Vale employees to access.

To redeem these discounts, simply present your ID badge at the tills when making your purchase.
