New 24-hour advice line available to staff

All staff now have access to a new 24-hour advice line, which offers support on a wide variety of issues.

Provided by Westfield Health, the service delivers confidential guidance on medical, legal and domestic problems from qualified counsellors, legal advisors and nurses.

It can offer help with stress, bereavement, relationship difficulties or money worries and can be accessed at any time of the day or night by calling 0800 092 0987, entering the scheme number of 72115 and naming the Council as employer.

Callers can remain anonymous and the contents of calls are treated in the strictest confidence, with details only revealed if someone is at risk of serious harm

It is important to look after mental health and wellbeing and the Council is fully supportive of anyone who needs assistance in this area.
