'Summer of Fun' Holiday Activity Programme

The Family Information Service (FIS) has compiled a programme of activities for children, young people, and their families during the school summer holidays.

21 July, 2021

As restrictions continue to ease, the Family Information Service Team thought it would be helpful to collate information on what’s going on in the Vale this summer.

The programme includes activities funded through the Welsh Government’s ‘Summer of Fun’ scheme, which has been made available to support children and young people to recover from the pandemic and have fun during the summer. These activities are being delivered by the Vale's Healthy Living Team and many other partners, who also organise children's sport and play activities.

In addition to the 'Summer of Fun' programme, activities include sports clubs, library activities, events at parks, playschemes and more. The programme will be continually updated as and when activities are confirmed.

FIS can also provide helpful information on holiday childcare schemes, other forms of childcare, help with childcare costs and services and support for children with additional needs.
