Homes for Ukraine

The Ukrainian Support Team are hoping to attract new hosts for Ukrainian households who have arrived into Wales via the Homes for Ukraine individual sponsorship scheme or the super sponsor scheme, having fled the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

As hosts you will be asked to commit to 6 months of hosting and will be entitled to optional £350 monthly thank you payments for the duration of time your guests are with you.

Every host is allocated a refugee support worker to assist with any issues, advice or guidance in relation to the hosting process. The support worker will also be there for your Ukrainian guest/s to support their integration into life in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Please find further information about the support the Ukrainian Support Team offer in the link below, including a list of frequently asked questions and dates/times of our regular support drop ins, as well as a link to Welsh Government’s host/sponsor guidance for the Homes for Ukraine Scheme which is really useful reading.

Further information about how to sign up for a training session as well as about additional support offered can be found here on their website.

If you or anyone you know are interested in hosting and would like to have an chat about the process please contact the Ukrainian support team on ukrainiansupport@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
