Volunteering: Make a Difference
Have you ever considered taking some time to volunteer?
Earlier this week, Local organisations and charities came together with the Glamorgan Voluntary Service (GVS) at the Memo Arts Centre in Barry for the GVS Big Volunteering Fayre to showcase some of the ways staff can get involved in making a positive impact in our communities.

The event offered attendees the chance to receive advice and support on getting started with volunteering as well as time for added networking opportunities.
GVS are a leading provider of volunteering services in Wales, focusing on the Vale of Glamorgan and surrounding areas.
Volunteering offers countless benefits – not only are you making a real difference in your chosen area, but you are also enhancing your skills and gaining valuable experiences.
If you didn’t get a chance to attend the volunteering fayre, there are still plenty of opportunities to get involved.

The Council's Corporate Employee Volunteer Policy allows staff to volunteer during working hours with the opportunity to get to know some of our partner organisations as well as committing time for charitable causes.
