Over a hundred attend Vale families workshops
More than 150 people attended a series of workshops at the Memo Arts Centre in Barry as part of ongoing work to consult on the services supporting babies, children, young people and families to address poverty in the Vale.
Staff from across Social Services, Learning and Skills and the third sector attended two engagement sessions to discuss a number of services - including Families First Services, Early Help, Flying Start, YJESS, Supporting People, Communities for Work and CELT+.
The event gave staff the opportunity to share their experiences of engaging with these services, helped spread awareness about the varied support these services can offer residents in the Vale, and how to better understand any opportunities for improvement in the future.
If you missed the opportunity to attend these workshops, there is also another upcoming networking opportunity with Families First on 19 February at the Memo Arts Centre.
The event is a chance for anyone who works with children and families in the Vale of Glamorgan to discover some of the services available to them in the area.
