Help Us Grow: Volunteer for Tree Planting and Hedgerow Creation at Cosmeston

Lake at CosmestonDid you know as an employee of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, you have the opportunity to take one paid day each year to contribute your time and skills to volunteering within the local community? 

Help us make a difference at Cosmeston Lakes Country Park by joining our tree planting and hedgerow creation event! This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved alongside other passionate volunteers from outside the organisation and contribute to our corporate goals of enhancing biodiversity in our community.

Date:  Friday 4th October 2024

Time: 10.00 for a 10.30 start – 3.30-4.00 finish.

Location: Cosmeston Lakes Country Park

Half-day options are available for those who prefer a shorter commitment. Whether you join us for the whole day or just part of it, your efforts will directly support national and local targets to increase tree canopy cover, improve our environment, and create healthier, greener spaces for everyone to enjoy.

No experience is needed—just a willingness to get your hands dirty and make a positive impact!

This biodiversity project is being funded by the Vale Nature Partnership through their Nature Neighbours project, which aims to enhance biodiversity, physically reconnect habitats and provide opportunities for people to reconnect with nature on their doorstep.
