The Food Safety Team at SRS are celebrating the success of two colleagues!
Daniel Regan and Daniel Fegan, Technical Officers within the Shared Regulatory Services (SRS) Team, have recently completed their Higher Certificate Qualification in Food Premises Inspection.
Both originally joined the SRS Team to support Test Trace and Protect and COVID enforcement arrangements, and then went on to successfully obtain roles within the Food Safety team.
From here, they were offered the opportunity to study towards the qualification, as part of the SRS commitment to staff development.
The qualification involved two years of study, and both are now equipped to inspect a range of food premises.
Christina Hill, Operational Manager for SRS, said: “I am incredibly proud of Daniel and Daniel’s achievements.
“They are both an asset to the food service.
“Their success also demonstrates the efforts and accomplishments of the whole team, as they offer training and guidance for our newly qualified officers.
“Well done both!”
Governed by a Joint Committee, SRS is a partnership between the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Bridgend Council and Cardiff Council. The partnership works to deliver more efficient, cost-effective services by improving sectors such as Trading Standards and Environmental Health.
Staff can access more information about SRS on the Council's website.
