The annual Big Volunteering Fayre is returning to the Vale this January

Each year, Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS) team up with community organisations and charities to share information about volunteering opportunities in the Vale at the Big Volunteering Fayre.

This year’s fayre will take place on 24 January 2023, 10am – 2pm at the Memo Arts Centre, Barry.

The Council recognises the invaluable impact volunteering has in communities across the Vale, and the wellbeing and developmental benefits it offers to those offering their time. 2023 saw the launch of the organisation’s Volunteer Scheme.

Council employees can now commit one calendar day per year (pro-rata for part-time staff) to volunteer for a cause of their choice, providing it contributes to our local communities.

If you have time to offer, or would like to explore options for your volunteer day, over 40 organisations will be on hand at the Big Volunteer Fayre to help find the right volunteering opportunity for you.
