Youth Service Achieves Prestigious Gold Quality Mark

The Vale Youth Service team has achieved the prestigious Gold Quality Mark for Youth Work in Wales, a significant milestone that highlights their commitment to excellence and impact on young people across the Vale of Glamorgan.

Youth Service achieve Gold Quality Mark

The Gold Quality Mark, awarded by the Education Workforce Council and Welsh Government, is a national recognition of the highest standards in youth work.

Having already achieved the Bronze and Silver levels, reaching Gold status reflects the team’s ability to deliver innovative and impactful services while continuously improving their practice.

The team have worked hard to raise the standards and enhance the quality of youth work provision.

Youth Engagement Manager Rhys Jones, who leads the service, said:

“I want to thank all staff, volunteers, partners, and young people involved in this process over the past three years.

“The service continues to showcase the dedication, passion, and drive youth workers have for the young people living in the Vale.

“As a service, we continue to review and develop what we have to offer and aspire to be transformational in our approach.”

Youth workers in the Vale provide a diverse range of activities designed to empower young people aged 11–25 to reach their potential - from running youth clubs and after-school activities to delivering accredited courses and hosting community events.

Achieving the Gold Quality Mark is a testament to the team’s hard work and dedication.
