Tourism Survey Barry IslandWhat impact does Tourism have on our communities?

We’re working in partnership with Visit Wales at the Welsh Government to understand how communities in the Vale of Glamorgan view tourism.

The Vale is one of three pilot areas that are working with Visit Wales at Welsh Government, alongside Gwynedd and Pembrokeshire in seeking the views of local residents about tourism in their local areas.

We’d like to learn more about the impact that tourism has on our communities, what are the benefits and drawbacks that stem from it, and how to shape and ensure its sustainable development. Findings will be used to inform future tourism policy, so as to best respond to the local needs of all communities involved.

The survey is aimed at Vale residents but we know a number of colleagues live here too, so please share your views by completing the survey.

While our aim is to have your voice heard, we won’t be asking you for any personal information that could be used to identify you. In fact, all of your responses will remain strictly confidential.

Your participation is completely voluntary, and you’re free to withdraw from the survey at any point.
