It's Armed Forces Week 2023

Armed Forces week is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: currently serving troops, veterans, reservists, cadets and service families.

On Wednesday 21 June at 10.30am, The Mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Julie Aviet, will join the Leader, Lis Burnett, and other dignitaries for a short service outside the Civic Offices to mark the occasion.

Residents and Council staff are invited to attend the ceremony to show their support to the armed forces community. The Council will also be live-streaming the service on Facebook for those who are unable to attend.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is committed to supporting the Armed Forces Community and our Veteran Advice Service offers a range of support to the Vale’s community.
