Join Us at our next Diverse meeting on July 18th

Diverse Group’s next meeting is at 3pm, Tuesday 18th July at Holton Road Primary School.

In Diverse Group, we’ve worked on some great projects over the last few months and as the summer term draws to an end, we’re looking to start planning our autumn events schedule.

Join us next Tuesday to share your ideas, plan for next term, and reflect on our recent projects and events.

Art Project Showcase

This year, we’ve worked closely with Year 6 pupils at Holton Road on an art project celebrating Vale staff members with diverse backgrounds. Pupil’s worked with Cardiff-based artist Prith-B and spoken-word artist Duke Durham to create amazing artwork and poetry based on the Diverse members involved in the project.

Through interviews, the children were given the opportunity to gain an understanding and awareness of authentic lived experiences with regard to belonging, and how those experiences might influence how our members wanted to be represented in their portraits.

At Tuesday’s meeting, you will also have the opportunity to view the Year 6’s amazing artwork for yourself and reflect on Holton’s Windrush 75 celebrations.
