Council remembers Elliot Pottinger

It is with great sadness we learnt of the passing of Elliot Pottinger, the Council’s  Healthy Living Officer (Sport & Physical Activity), at the weekend following a battle with Cancer.

Elliot made a real difference in his time with the Council implementing the Golden Pass scheme that has allowed older people to enjoy a number of new physical activities.  Such has been the impact that the scheme has been copied by other Local authorities in recent months.

Elliot was a nominee for Rising Star at the recent Vale of Glamorgan staff awards and was a just a lovely person who will much missed by his colleagues in Sports Development. Thoughts are with partner Jen and the rest of his family.
