Dear Colleagues,
In my message to you last Friday, I mentioned the imminent launch of our largest ever county-wide survey exercise, Let’s Talk About Life in the Vale.
This survey has now launched and can be completed at participate.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk/lets-talk
We want to hear from as many people as possible, and that includes you.
The survey covers a range of topics including the cost of living, housing, community safety, public transport and health and wellbeing.
We want your experiences to shape how we deliver services in the future.
The results of the survey will help shape the Council we will be in the future. It will inform the priorities for our next Annual Delivery Plan, transformation programme, Financial Strategy and the next Corporate Plan.
For these reasons, it’s important that we hear from a wide range of residents and service users, so we understand how people’s experiences differ and how we can tackle inequalities.
If every member of staff either completed the survey or shared it with a colleague or someone they provide a service to then we would have an excellent amount of information to work with.
We are all part of Team Vale and will all be affected by the results of the survey in shaping how we work in the future. Once we have the results of the survey, we’ll be making these available to colleagues so you can use it in your work.
This exercise is part of a wider programme of work to improve how the Council takes the views of people who live and work in the Vale into account when taking decisions.
Everyone who participates will have the chance to win one of ten £50 Love2Shop vouchers, which can be spent in a wide variety of high street shops and restaurants.
I hope you can take some time today to complete the survey yourself or share it.
If you have any questions about this exercise please contact Rob Jones, Communications Manager, or Hannah Rapa, Public Participation and Campaign Delivery Lead.
As always, diolch yn fawr and let’s talk!
Rob
