Join the Menopause Café on April 21

Our Occupational Health Department are hosting the next Menopause Café in the Civic Offices this month.

Menopause Cafe principles posterA Menopause Café aims to break down the taboo around menopause by increasing awareness of the impact of the menopause, on those experiencing it, their family and friends and colleagues too. A Menopause Café has no agenda, structure or speakers it is intended to offer an environment where people can start conversations about the menopause, to make it an ordinary topic of conversation.

The café is open to all staff (regardless of age or gender) who would like the opportunity to talk about the menopause, to share stories, experiences and ask questions, all made that little easier and more enjoyable with a cuppa and cake!

“Unfortunately, many people feel that they should just ‘get on with’ the menopause, with some never talking to their friends or family about it. People can come along to a Menopause Cafe and just listen, or join in on the discussions, hopefully leaving with a clearer sense of the impact of the menopause on those who are experiencing it.” Rachel WeissFounder of the Menopause Café Charity.

Join us on Friday 21st April 2023, between 11.15 – 12.30pm in the Corporate Suite, Civic Offices, Barry.
