St David Awards 2023: Celebrating 10 Years

Who has inspired you? Who can Wales be proud of? The St David Awards recognise and celebrate the exceptional achievements of people Wales and abroad.

Your chance to nominate a colleague for the Council’s staff awards may have now passed, but if you know an individual or group which you believe deserves wider recognition, please consider nominating them for a St David award.

The St David Awards are the national award for Wales are in 2023 will be celebrating its 10^th anniversary.

The award reflects and celebrates the aspirations of Wales and its citizens as a modern, vibrant country that values innovation, community spirit and above all, its people.

Like the staff nominations, there are many different categories of nominations, giving you the opportunity to recognise and celebrate people from all walks of life in Wales.

The categories for the 2023 awards are as follows:

Bravery
Community Spirit
Critical Worker (Key Worker)
Culture
Environment
Innovation, Science and Technology
Sport
Young Person
First Minister's Special Award

The finalists and winners are decided upon by the First Minister of the Welsh Government and his advisers.

Please consider nominating any people or groups in your area that you think deserve national recognition, and to encourage others to nominate too.
