The Vale of Glamorgan Council is marking the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
Dear colleagues,
It is with sadness that the Council is marking the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Her Majesty was a dedicated public servant and her death will touch many people. All our sympathies are with the Royal Family at this sad time.
All flags at the Civic Offices in Barry are being flown at half-mast.
Books of condolence have been opened to the public at the Civic and Dock Offices in Barry, and the Alps Depot in Wenvoe. An online book of condolence has also been opened on the Council’s website. Any staff that wish to make a tribute are welcome to do so.
Cllr Susan Lloyd-Selby, Mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan, has also issued a public statement which is available on the Council’s website.
Any further updates on arrangements to mark the death will be published online at www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk and shared using the Council’s social media accounts.
Regards,
Cllr Lis Burnett
Leader of the Vale of Glamorgan Council
Rob Thomas
Chief Executive
