Wellbeing Network Event 2022

Earlier in the week the Council hosted a Wellbeing Network Event at Barry Memo Arts Centre.

Organised by the Children and Young People’s Partnership Team, over 40 organisations and services attended the event, including the Vale Family Information Service, NSPCC and Cardiff & Vale University Health Board.

The day was an opportunity for professions working with families and young people to learn about support on offer in the Vale and how to direct citizens towards it.

    Families First Holiday Club offers play opportunities to children aged 4 - 11 years who have disabilities or additional needs and live in the Vale of Glamorgan during school holidays.

    Healthy Schools project

    The Vale of Glamorgan Healthy Schools Scheme is part of the Welsh Network of Healthy Schools Scheme. It aims to promote and protect the physical, emotional and social health and well-being of children and young people in the Vale of Glamorgan.

    Cardiff and Vale Public Health Team are working on initiatives to help the people of Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan improve their food choices, as well as ensuring they have access to healthier food.
